Cleaning
39.0 Work Included
1. Furnish all materials and labor to perform final cleaning work to prepare units for customer occupancy as outlined in this Scope of Work.
2. In addition, Contractor shall provide all labor, cleaning materials, incidentals and insurance relating to this Scope of Work.
39.1 General
1. All cleaning materials and methods used shall be in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions for the item being cleaned.
2. Prior to cleaning, Contractor shall inspect hard surfaces, including mirrors, shower doors, fixtures, countertops and flooring for scratches/defects and report any damaged, scratched or broken items to the Project Manager.
3. Special care shall be taken to insure that no materials are damaged during the cleaning process. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage caused by them.
39.2 Final Cleaning
1. Final cleaning for occupancy, as referenced with this Scope of Work, shall include:
q Remove all quantities of rubbish from house and place in a site dumpster.
Exceptions: Larger carpet scraps are to be left in foyer to be used as materials for cleaning worker’s shoes when entering.
Scrape and wash both sides of all windows and glass doors, including frames. Care shall be taken not to scratch glass and frames.
q Clean and vacuum all window and door tracks.
q Damp clean and polish all kitchen surfaces (including interior and exterior of cabinets, drawers, all appliances, countertops, sinks, etc.) Do not use WD-40
q Clean and vacuum as needed, the top of all upper kitchen cabinets. Use a ladder to do so, do not stand on kitchen counter tops.
q Oil stainless steel sink to remove water spots.
q Vacuum, remove all debris and damp clean all heat ducts and registers.
q Damp clean and polish all bathroom surfaces (including all tile surfaces, fixtures, vanities inside and out, countertops, water closets, shower doors and stalls, tubs, shower rods, mirrors, medicine cabinets and ceramic tile accessories. Immediately notify the Project Manager of any tub chips.
q All ceramic tile floors are to be thoroughly cleaned including the removal of tile adhesives and grout dust.
q Clean all doors, door casings, window sills, base boards, closet shelving, door knobs and hinges.
q Vacuum all carpeting using commercial vacuum, and spot clean where necessary with water only. Notify the Project Manager of stains that cannot be removed with water solely, so that he can schedule for professional carpet cleaning.
q Clean and polish all plumbing fixtures and faucets.
q Remove all labels and stickers, including those on/in light fixtures, except UL rating stickers and those giving instruction to the buyer.
q Clean garage floors; scrape/sweep/hose-down, as needed.
q Clean all screens of dust, paint or drywall mud.
q Remove any packing and literature inside appliances. Place literature in cabinet adjacent to the range.
q Wash all light fixtures, inside and out.
q Clean fireplace boxes, fronts, surrounds and glass doors, including removal of protection tape.
39.2 Clean-up
1. Remove all debris generated by this work and place in a nearby dumpster.
2. Provide separate price for re-cleans, to be done on an as-needed basis, when requested by the Project Manager.
3. Contractor shall clean the construction trailer every other week at no additional charge to Owner. | | click here for more information... |
